Les usines Jenbacher Werke livr\u00e8rent en 1958 deux prototypes avec des moteurs diff\u00e9rents, enregistr\u00e9es dans la flotte sous les d\u00e9signations 225.6098 et 225.6099. En 1960\/61, 20 locomotives de s\u00e9rie ont \u00e9t\u00e9 fabriqu\u00e9es sous licence par Officina Meccanica della Stranga \u00e0 Padua et Jenbach Diesel Soc.r.l. \u00e0 Bozen, avec les d\u00e9signations 225.6001 \u00e0 6020. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elles \u00e9taient entra\u00een\u00e9es par un moteur diesel deux-temps avec transmission de puissance hydraulique.
